Terryann Thompson, 77, passed away on December 17 due to complications from long-standing heart issues.
Terryann was born in New Bedford in 1949 as the youngest of three girls. While her sisters later moved to Texas and Florida, Terryann spent most of her life in Massachusetts.
After graduating from the Katherine Gibbs School of Boston, Terryann had a long career with the law firm of Riemer & Braunstein. She joined the firm in the early 1970s as a legal secretary to two of the attorneys in the Burlington office and was promoted to various roles including personnel administrator and secretarial supervisor. She took a brief hiatus to care for her parents, relocating temporarily to Florida until they passed. She then returned to Massachusetts and to Riemer & Braunstein, eventually managing the data processing and billing department until she retired in 2019.
Terryann never had children but became a devoted dog mom to several poodles. She is survived by her middle sister Deborah Kierstead and two nieces in Florida, Stephanie Kierstead and Candace Arnold, one niece Tobey Horan in Texas and one niece Tracey Horan in Virginia, and by her cousins Arthur Briggs and Ardyth Bednarz in New Bedford.
