Charles A. “Mac” McCormack, 81, of Derry, NH, passed away Monday January 1, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at his home. He was born on May 31, 1942 in Lowell, MA, a son of the late Bernard and Margaret (Barker) McCormack. Mac was a resident of Derry for 21 years, formerly living in Lowell, Ma. In the earlier part of his life, he was an entrepreneur, having started many different companies over the years. More recently, Mac was working part-time at Shaw’s Supermarket in Londonderry, NH. He was a jack of all trades. Mac loved fantasy football and playing cards with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan (Johnson) McCormack who was by his side for over 47 years, four sons, Tim McCormack and wife Mary, Michael McCormack, John J. Granfield IV and wife Paula, and Bill Granfield and his fiancé Sheanna; his many grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Sheila Lamphier and Sandra O'Keefe; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was predeceased by his daughter Sarah A. McCormack, a son, Charles B. McCormack, a brother, Bernard McCormack and one sister Patricia Sperounis.
Following cremation, memorial calling hours will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024 from 6 – 8 pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry.
