WEBSTER – Joyce A. Basins, 96, died Monday, December 25, 2023 in Webster Manor after a period of declining health.
She leaves nephews and nieces, Bob Langer and his wife Elaine, David, Donald and Dennis Basins, Michael Faraday, Jane Langer, Cheryl Cordova and Josephine Willard; great great-nieces and nephews, Michael Faraday, Jr., Mason Faraday, Andrew, Catherine, Emily Mitchell and Brian Willard. She was preceded in death by her brother Harold Basins, sisters, Myrtle Faraday, Esther Kokocinski, and Doris Langer and nephews, Bob Kokocinski and Jerry Langer, Jr.
She was born in Webster on December 9, 1927, a daughter of Walter and Emma (Schiebler) Basins and lived here all her life. She attended Bartlett High School.
Ms. Basins worked for A. M. Kouri clothing store and for Pratt Trucking as a bookkeeper.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She devoted her life to her nieces and nephews and their families.
Calling hours will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 4, in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street.
