HOLLIS- Jacqueline Sargent, age 88, passed away at her home in Hollis on Dec. 31, 2023.
She was born in Hollis on Aug. 3, 1935, a daughter of the late Merton and Becky Sargent, and graduated from S. D. Hanson High School in Buxton.
Jacqueline will be forever remembered for the enjoyment she had caring for her horses and donkeys, knitting, reading, gardening, and attending church.
She was employed by UNUM as the secretary to the Vice President and was a longtime member of the North Congregational Church in Groveville.
Besides her parents, Jacqueline is predeceased by a brother- Bruce Sargent.
She is survived by her children- Jacqueline Hopkinson of NH, Rowena Hawkes of Oxford, Brenda Farrington of Hollis, David Harmon of Montana, and Danny Harmon of Portland; siblings- Barry Sargent, and Joleen Thomas; ten grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday Jan. 4th at 1 PM at South Buxton Cemetery, River Road, Buxton.
