DUDLEY – Theresa J. (Tokarz) Kozlowski, 94, died Saturday, December 30, 2023 in Webster Manor, surrounded by her family, after an illness. Her husband of 52 years, Louis E. Kozlowski, died in 2006.
She leaves her son, Andrew J. Kozlowski and his wife Barbara M. of Dudley; a daughter, Mary T.(Kozlowski) Gould of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA and Peter G. Gould of Redondo Beach, CA; 2 granddaughters, Kathryn C. (Gould) O’Cuimin and her husband Samuel of Torrence, CA and Amelia M. (Gould) Mix and her husband Sean of Boston; a sister, Rose T. (Tokarz) Penniman and her husband Gary A. of Waltham; a nephew, a niece, a grand-niece and 3 grand-nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Francis Tokarz.
She was born on March 26, 1929 in Webster, a daughter of John and Sophie (Krystyniak) Tokarz. She was a graduate of Saint Joseph Elementary School and Dudley Junior High School. She attended Bartlett High School. She lived in Webster and Dudley her entire life.
Mrs. Kozlowski was primarily a homemaker who dedicated her life to her husband and the raising of her children. Prior to marriage she worked as a winder and spooler at Whiten Manufacturing Company in Northbridge, as a stitcher at Webster Shoe Company in Webster, an inspector with Art Craft Greeting Card Company in Webster and as a housekeeper and cook at Saint Andrew Bobola Rectory in Dudley.
She was a communicant of Saint Andrew Bobola Church in Dudley. She was an avid Boston Celtics fan especially of Larry Bird. She enjoyed needlework, knitting, crocheting, baking and cake decorating. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who was very generous with her time and went out of her way to help others. She loved her cats.
The family would like to thank the staff of Webster Manor and the Hospice of Western and Central Mass for their excellent care of Theresa during her illness.
Her funeral will be held Friday, January 5, from the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main Street, Dudley. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 Friday morning in the funeral home prior to Mass.
