Mark A. DiSanto, Sr., 74

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Mark A. DiSanto, Sr., age 74, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the comfort of his home on Monday, January 1, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Dianne (Maniates) DiSanto, who died on February 2, 2020.

Born in Boston, MA on March 20, 1949, he was a loving son of the late Blais and Anna (Ralli) DiSanto.

Mark grew up in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Hyde Park and was a graduate of Hyde Park High School. During the time of the Vietnam Era, he proudly and honorably served our grateful nation as a member of the United States Army.

A resident of Mansfield for the past thirty-five years, Mark had worked in Warehouses as a forklift operator, prior to retiring. Mark’s cherished family was his greatest love in life. He was an avid Boston sports fan and very-much enjoyed coaching his son in football and baseball while growing up. Another favorite pastime of Mark’s was spending time and socializing with friends at area casinos.

He is survived by his devoted children: Sherrie Bourne and her husband Kevin of Norton, Faye Joyce and her husband Scott of Foxboro, Tiffany DiSanto and her fiancé Victor Rodrigues of Blackstone and Mark DiSanto, Jr. and his wife Jessica of Danbury, CT of Mansfield, Deanna Lynch and her husband Randy of Plymouth and David DiSanto of New Bedford. He was the cherished grandfather of Colin, Morgan, Kevin, Olivia, Madelyn, Parker and Randy. He was the dear brother of Joseph Pasciuto and his wife Fran of Holbrook, Virginia Gaughan and her husband John of Walpole and the late Peter DiSanto, who is survived by his wife Sandra DiSanto of South Carolina. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday, January 9th from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.

Military honors, rendered by the United States Army, will will be held on Tuesday evening at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, Mark’s family has requested that contributions his memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1120, Framingham, MA 01701.
