Joseph R. Goyette, 94

Joseph R. Goyette, age 94, of Norton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at the Hope Health Hospice Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late June P. (Lowden) Goyette, to whom he was wed for forty-nine years at the time of her recent death on March 9, 2023.
Born in Mansfield, MA on August 3, 1929, he was a loving son of the late Ovila and Emma (Arnes) Goyette.
Joe grew up and was educated in North Attleboro. During the Korean War, he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge, he served for several years in the Army Reserve and returned to school, receiving an Engineering Degree from Northeastern University.
Spending time with family was always an important part of Joe’s life. He was an avid golfer and a Lifetime Member of the Foxborough Country Club. He, along with his late wife June, was an accomplished Square Dancer and enjoyed the winter months spent in Beverly Hills, Florida. He loved yardwork, meticulously caring for his gardens, camping and hiking. He had made his home in Norton for the past thirty-four years and formerly resided in Mansfield.
He is survived by his devoted children: Richard T. Beckwith, Jr. and his wife Anne Marie of Crystal Lake, Illinois, Donna M. Conrad and her husband James of Perry, Georgia, Cynthia A. Beckwith of Norton, Michael J. Goyette and his wife Kerry-Ann of Taunton, Denise wainwright of North Attleboro and Cheryl Anderson of Vermont. He was the dear brother of Charles and Betty and was pre-deceased by 9 siblings. He is also survived by his cherished 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, as well as his loving nieces and nephews.
Services, along with burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne will be private.
