Obituary

William P. “Bill” Morris passed away at Massachusetts General Hospital on Friday, December 29th. He was 70. Born and raised in Somerville, he was the son of the late Peter and the late Irene (Bullen) Morris.

Bill was an incredibly devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. After graduating from Somerville High School, he worked for 20 years at Somerville Lumber, until it closed. Then he worked in construction through Laborers' Local 22 for another 20 years. He was a huge Patriots fan, but he rooted for all the Boston sports teams. He got great joy from his dog, Bailey, but the center of his life was spending time with his family, especially his wife, children and grandchildren. With his wife Elaine, he set up his family home in Everett.

Bill was the beloved husband of Elaine M. (Capozzo) Morris. He was the devoted father of Stephanie Morris and her husband Robert Reaney of Everett, and of Stacey McDonald and her husband Robert of Salem. He was the loving grandfather of Elaina and Hunter and the late Ryder. He was a dear brother to Paul Morris and his wife Lisa of Somerville, Gary Morris and his wife Melissa of Tewksbury, and of Lorraine and her husband Chuck Berner of Gardner. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Wednesday, January 3rd from 9 to 11 AM, followed by a celebration of life at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
