Lloyd O’Neal Guy, 75, of Milledgeville, formerly of Tifton, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Putnam General Hospital in Eatonton. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2024, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Paul Baker officiating. Mr. Guy will be laid to rest at Old Ty Ty Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Shawn Peters, Don Griffin, Daniel Guy, Dillon Guy, Austin Guy, Corey Guy and Devin Brown will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Lasseter, Cody Smith and Cody Meeks.
Born March 23, 1948, in Worth County, Mr. Guy was the son of the late Arthur James Guy and Nettie.Estelle Sumner Guy. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Howell Guy; one sister, Betty Ruth Baggett; and one infant brother. He retired from Forstmann in Tifton; and he was also an auto mechanic. He was of the Church of God faith. He loved music, wrestling and fishing.
Mr. Guy is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, David and Darita Guy, Alton Guy and Timmy Guy, all of Milledgeville and Lamar and Stacy Guy of Jacksonville, Florida; two daughters and sons-in-law, Becky Talbot and Kenneth Graves and Jessica and Scotty Hamilton, all of Milledgeville; one brother, William Thomas Guy of Norman Park; one sister, Nettie Faye Wilson of Fitzgerald; numerous grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
