Alice (Arruda) Rezendes, 92, of Westport, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River. She was the wife of Arthur Rezendes, they were married for 71 years.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Marianno and Georgianna (Soares) Arruda, she had lived in Westport since 1956. She was a Communicant of St. George Church, Westport. Mrs. Rezendes enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and shopping.
Including her husband, she is survived by 3 sons: Thomas A. Rezendes of Westport, Robert J. Rezendes and his wife Mary Jane of Fall River and John Rezendes of Westport; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late Joseph Arruda, Mary Clark, Hilda Arruda and Zelma Ferguson and mother-in-law of the late Dianne Rezendes.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at St. George Church, Westport at 11:00 A.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
