Daniel M. Bergeron, age 81 passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on December 24, 2023 at home. He was born on Feb 28, 1942 in Holyoke, the son of the late Adrian and Estelle (DeFosses) Bergeron. Daniel was a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel and Vietnam Veteran. He later worked as the Vice Principal of Belchertown High School for over 10 years. Dan was an avid pilot and prominent member of the Northampton Airport Community (7B2) and served as the president of the Northampton Airport Wright Flight after school program. He was also a Board Member of the Willimansett Heights Improvement League. He is survived by his wife Patricia A. Bergeron of Chicopee; one son Tim Bergeron and his wife Sabrina of Manhattan, Kansas; one daughter Lisa Rogers and her husband Stephen of Chicopee; one honorary daughter Daniela Pratt and her husband Daniel of Glastonbury Connecticut, one honorary son Jason Lorusso of Hadley, two sisters, Madelyn Korytko of Chicopee and Rosemarie Dunlop of Kirkland, Washington and six grandchildren, Sidney, Spencer, Mia, Cameron, Olivia and June. He is predeceased in death by his brother Thomas Bergeron. All services will be private at the convenience of the family.
