Laura M. (Yeomans) (Lesperance) Mercurio, age 75, of Brockton, formerly of Dorchester, died on December 23, 2023 at South Shore Hospital. Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late William and Evelyn (Gill) Yeomans. She was raised in Roxbury and attended Boston Schools.
For many years, Laura was a sales associate for various department stores in the Brockton area.
For over 21 years, Laura was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing board games and spending time with her family. She was kind, giving and devoted to taking care and helping others.
Laura was the mother of Raymond J. Lesperance, Jr. of Brockton, Cindy L. Carter of Quincy, Eric J. Lesperance of Brockton and Kirk S. Lesperance of Norwood; doting grandmother of Marcelino Correia, Daniel Lesperance, Laureena Sullivan, Tyler Lesperance, Tayha Lesperance, Laila Lesperance, Sahara Lesperance, Isaiah Lesperance, Eric Lesperance, Jr. and Jaylin Warren and the great grandmother of Malex Zayne Lesperance. Laura was the sister of Peter Yeomans of Port Charlotte, FL and the late Robert and James Yeomans. Laura is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton on Saturday, December 30, from 10am-1pm, followed by a private family service at 1pm.
