Frank C. Binder, 77, of Westport, MA passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023 at Catholic Memorial Home. He was the husband of Lucille M. (Rousseau) Binder, they were married for 53 years.
Born in Marshfield, WI, son of the late Frank H. and Faustine (Schmitt) Binder, he had lived in Westport since 1991. A 1964 graduate of Columbus High School and graduate of Taylor County Teachers College in Medford, WI, he taught in a 2 room schoolhouse prior to enlisting in the United States Navy in 1968. He served aboard the U.S.G. Talbot Destroyer during the Vietnam War. After serving in the Navy he married his wife Lucille on November 14, 1970. In 2018 he retired from Robinsons Supply in Fall River, MA and Cranston, RI after 35 years as a showroom salesman. Mr. Binder was the first salesman to be hired for the new backsplash showroom in Fall River. An avid NASCAR fan, he attended the races in New Hampshire and was also a New England Patriots fan. He loved his 2 Corvettes, his red truck, his John Deere tractors, and most of all he loved his beloved wife and family. Frank would like to be remembered for living his life with a mission to make people smile and laugh everyday.
Including his wife, he is survived by 5 siblings: Michael Binder of Wausau, WI, Jane Binder of Marshfield, WI, Steven Binder and his wife Susan of Marshfield, WI, Julie Binder of Marshfield, WI and Jenifer Binder of Amherst Junction, WI; goddaughter: Becky Binder of WI; 2 nieces: Brittney Binder and Annie Binder; and 4 nephews: Christopher Binder and his wife Sally, Joseph Binder and his wife C.J., Brandon Binder and his wife Brandi and Brent Binder and his wife Nicole.
He was brother of the late Carl Binder, Sandra Binder and Thomas Binder.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, January 4, 2024 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Wednesday from 5 - 8 P,M.
Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River, MA.
