Obituary

Nathan J. Gorczynski, 44, of Charlton, passed away unexpectedly on December 22nd at UMASS Memorial Medical Center after being stricken ill at home with his mother and father by his side.
Born in Worcester, and lived most of his life in Dudley and Charlton, Nathan graduated from Shepherd Hill Regional High School in 1997.
He is survived by his father, John A. and his mother, Margo A. (Jenkins) Gorczynski of Dudley; his brother, Steven J. Gorczynski of Avon, Colorado; his partner and soul-mate, Carlee Davis and her son, Joseph Mancini of Charlton, who Nate loved as a son; and his 4-legged children, his four dogs; Kali, Hades, Nemo and Bowie and three cats; Fizz, ZigZag and Mojo. Left to grieve his loss are extended family members that include his aunts and uncles, Carol Nugent, Ted and Pong Gorczynski, Tom and Ginny Jenkins, Ann Jenkins and several cousins. He was predeceased by his uncle, Jerry Jenkins and grandparents, Charles and Marie Jenkins; Ted and Betty Gorczynski; his uncle Steven Gorczynski who died in 1970.
Nathan was a talented musician who played in various local bands throughout the years but most recently was the base player in “The Tribe”. He also co-hosted a podcast with his longtime friend, Dave Schultz. He loved to ski and spent weeks every winter with his brother, Steven in Colorado where he also learned to snow board and ride a “OneWheel”. He was a cherished friend to many and invaluable help to his family.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 6th in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. followed by a remembrance ceremony from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Family and friend are invited to share a story or memory of Nathan.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Pawsitivity Furever Dog Rescue, 51 Cambridge Avenue, Saddle Brook, NJ 07663 (pawsitivelyfurever.org) or an Animal Rescue organization of your choice because of Nathan’s passion for animals.
