LADY LAKE, FL… Jerry S. Rediker, age 83, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2023 in Lady Lake, FL.
Born in Hartland, ME, Jerry was the son of the late Elwood J. and Vivian L. (Mills) Rediker. He was the beloved husband of Doris “Dot” P. (Dussault) Rediker of Taunton, MA.
Jerry spent his childhood and younger years in Maine. He proudly served his nation in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He had an interesting and varied work life, from one of his first jobs on a chicken farm, to a specialized mechanic on Volkswagens, and a machine operator making fine jewelry. Jerry enjoyed working with his hands and took on many household projects without hesitation.
When he met Dot, she brought a special light to his life and they went on to celebrate 37 years of marriage together. They loved to travel together, taking three cruises along with a trip to Canada and many, many trips in New England and other states. Jerry loved fishing in the summer and skiing in the winter. Over the last few years, Jerry settled with Dot in Florida.
In addition to his beloved wife, Dot, survivors include: step-daughters; Pauline (Mike) Salvucci, Doreen (Michael) Mooney, and Cynthia Hardsog. Grandchildren; Jennifer, Jesse, Katelynn, Casandra, Nicole, and Mike. Several great-grandchildren. Predeceased by step-sons Glen and Jerry as well as granddaughter Meredith.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will take place at 7 PM on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, MA 02723. Calling hours will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM in the funeral home.
