Ferdinand "Fred" Silvia, 80, of Little Compton, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Friday, December 22, 2023. He was the husband of Carol A. (Lemoi) Silvia, they were married for 53 years.
Born in Providence, RI, son of the late Jose and Maria (Brilhante) Silvia, he had lived in Little Compton since 1988. Prior to retirement, he was a machinist for B.A. Ballou in E. Providence, RI. He was a Communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Little Compton and St. Madeleine Sophie Church, Tiverton. Mr. Silvia was a self taught man who could fix anything. He will always be known as a loving father and devoted husband.
Including his wife, he is survived by a son: Cory A. Silvia of Little Compton; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, December 30, 2023 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Little Compton at 11:00 A.M.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 - 8 P.M. at the Potter Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Little Compton.
