Obituary

Anthony J. Mili of Melrose formerly of Medford passed away on December 24, 2023. He was 91 years old. Anthony was the beloved husband of the late Jeanette M. (Pappalardo) Mili. Born in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of the late John and Marion (Mara) Mili.

Anthony served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1949 to 1953, attaining the rank of Corporal. Prior to his retirement, Anthony was employed as a printer pressman for the former Cuneo Press Company of Cambridge. After Cuneo’s closing, he later went on to work for Standard Box of Chelsea. As a young man, Anthony was an avid golfer. He enjoyed getting together with his friends and former coworkers for breakfast and lunch and talk about the day’s current events. The holidays were special for Anthony; for it was a time to gather with family and friends. Anthony loved to tell stories and watch old movies. In his later years, he enjoyed singing and entertaining. Anthony loved Frank Sinatra, and anything related to the “Rat Pack”, whether it was listening to his music or watching his movies. Anthony will always be remembered for his love and dedication to his late wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Anthony was the devoted father of Deborah Donnaruma and her husband Anthony of Medford and Sharon Eaton of Salem, NH. He was the adored grandfather of Brandon and his wife Karen, Alexis and her husband Ryan, Rebecca and her husband Cameron, Tyler and his fiancée Alyssa, Victoria and her partner Nicolas and Blake and his wife Kristi. Anthony was the loving great-grandfather of, Aria, Laiklyn, Charlotte, Noah, Maddox, Declan, Delilah and Greyson. Anthony was the dear brother of Mario Mili of NC, the late Alexander Mili and the late John Mili. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, MA, on Thursday, December 28, from 9-10:30AM, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, MA. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Services will conclude with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
