James J. “Jimmy” Ortiz, Jr., 38, of Derry, NH, passed away Sunday December 24, 2023 in Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, NH. He was born on June 13, 1985 in Winchester, MA, and had been a resident of Derry for the past 25 years.
Jimmy was known to all as a funny man. Constantly making everyone around him laugh. He loved his family to the moon and back. When he wasn't losing "fortnight" to his daughter, he was losing "magic" or other card and board games to his friends. Motorcycles and animals were his passion. His generous heart will be missed.
Jimmy is survived by his mother, Lisa (Dececca) Morris; daughter, Lisa Jr. Ortiz; sisters, Ashley Ortiz and Cailtyn Morris, and fiancé, Amie Callahan.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on January 5, 2024 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. A mercy meal will follow at the Marrion Garrish Center in Derry NH.
