Marguerita R. (Dalton) Eldridge, 81, of Bedford, died July 2, 2006, at Catholic Medical Center , after a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on June 30, 1925, and was the daughter of Joseph and Emma (Daley) Dalton. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Raphael Parish.
Marguerita, had worked in the Manchester Welfare office for a time, retiring many years ago.
She loved playing bingo, and feeding the birds. She enjoyed looking after her great granddaughter.
Family members include her daughter, Lynne Grandmaison, of Bedford; 2 sons, Raymond Eldridge, of TX, and Robert Eldridge, of FL; 8 grandchildren, one great granddaughter; a sister, Dorothy Cady, of Manchester; 3 brothers, Joseph Dalton, Donald Dalton, both of Manchester, James Dalton, of FL; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Eldridge in August of 1967, and a son, James Eldridge in March of 1976, and three sisters, Lorraine Philibert, Eileen Kehas, Maureen Dukeshire.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday July 7, 2006 in St. Raphael Church 103 Walker St. Manchester.
Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the friends of the Manchester Animal Shelter, Dunbarton Rd. Manchester.
