MaryJane (Smith) Santo, of Reading and formerly a longtime resident of Malden passed away peacefully on December 18, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 85 Years old.
MaryJane served as a cafeteria worker for the Malden Public Schools for many years and was a longtime parishioner of Saint Peter’s Church and the Immaculate Conception Church both in Malden.
MaryJane was the beloved wife of the late Richard J. Santo Sr. She was the loving mother of Richard J. Santo Jr. and his wife Kim of Reading, Barry Santo and his wife Rose of Las Vegas, NV and Robert Santo and his wife Carol of Peabody. MaryJane was the sister of Anne Tobin of Holliston, MA and her late husband William and the late Richard Smith and his surviving wife Irene of IN. She was the cherished grandmother of Jennifer Santo, Stephen Santo, Matthew Santo, Renee Donovan and her husband Ryan, Robyn Santo and Jason Santo and his wife Carmen. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and her beloved cat Liberacci.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Thursday December 28th at 9:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday December 27th from 4:00pm-7:00pm. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
