Travers of Plymouth, formerly of Cohasset, George F. 77, June 30, at Boston Medical Center. Beloved husband for 49 years of Lillian (Meehan) Travers of Plymouth. Loving father of Leslie Travers Soccorso and husband Noel Soccorso of Bridgewater, and Linda Travers-Bogart and husband Robert Bogart of Plymouth. Grandfather of Jared and Justin Soccorso and Amanda Bogart. He also leaves a sister Mary Lyons of Scituate a sister in-law Sheila “Marg” Travers also of Scituate, and many nieces and nephews. Brother of the late John and James Travers. A Funeral Mass will be held at St Bonaventure Church 807 State Road Manomet Friday July 7th at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home 619 State Rd. (Rte 3A) Manomet Thursday July 6, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the American Lung Assoc. of MA. 5 Mountain Rd. Burlington, MA 01803 or the American heart Assoc. 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701-4688. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery Bourne. U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and Korean Conflict.
