Before retiring, she was a Specialty Machine Operator in the local needle industry. She was a parishioner of Espirito Santo Church and a member of the Women’s Guild and a former Holy Rosary member.
She is survived by 3 Sons: John R. Arruda,Jr. of Swansea, Joseph M. Arruda of Lugoff, SC and Pastor David A. Arruda of Somerset. 1 Daughter: Rosemary Garcia of Summerville, SC and Voluntown, CT. 2 Daughter-in-laws: Barbara Arruda of Swansea and Jane Arruda of Somerset. 1 Son-in-Law: John Garcia of Summerville, SC and Voluntown, CT. 1 Brother: Joseph P. Moniz of Fall River. 2 Sisters: Mary M. Moniz of Fall River and Adeline Menard of Fall River. 16 Grandchildren. 12 Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Thursday at 9:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Espirito Santo Church, Alden St. at 10:00 A.M.
