Earl S. "Sherm" Wordell, Jr. 79, of Little Compton, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Rosemary (Medeiros) Wordell.
Mr. Wordell was born in Fall River, son of the late Earl S. and Amy A. (Manchester) Wordell and has resided in the Little Compton and Tiverton areas for most of his life. Prior to retirement, he worked as a heavy equipment operator.
Survivors include his 2 sons: Douglas E. Wordell and Nicholas M. Wordell and his wife Erica, both of Tiverton; his 2 daughters: Lisa M. Svoboda and her husband Richard of Somerset and Nicole M. Wordell and her husband Jason Wilson of Little Compton; a sister: Norma Elwell and her husband Walter of Little Compton; 6 grandchildren: Gregory, Abbey, Zoey, Daniel, Aiden and Ada; his companion: Judith Wood of Little Compton; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Brian Wordell.
