On December 20th, the world lost a wonderful, caring, and irreplaceable person. Christina (Andrianopoulos) Parousis passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends who felt her presence and influence on a daily basis.
Her husband of 59 years, Kosmas Parousis died in 2021. She leaves her daughter, Demetra Kennedy; her sons, William Parousis, and Christos Parousis all of Worcester. Christina was loving and caring especially when it came to her two grandchildren Fotios “Frank” Kennedy and Demetrios “Jimmy” Kennedy. Those two kids were the light in her life and her North Star. She leaves her sister-in-law, Agatha Andrianopoulos of Worcester; and several nieces and nephews including Christos Andrianopoulos, Angeliki Tsetsos and her husband, Vaggeli, Michael and Vasil Parousis. She was predeceased by her brother, George Andrianopoulos.
Christina was born September 20, 1943 in Pekerni, Greece and soon ventured for a better life to the United States. She helped raise a family of three with her beloved husband, Kosmas. She was employed at Astra-Zeneca Pharmaceutical Corporation in Westborough for 30 years, Christina also five years worked for Cambridge Biotech in Worcester.
She had many passions in life: gardening, baking, but most of all Christina’s biggest love was loving her family every waking moment of her life. Christina was a loving and caring mother, wife, and friend to all she met. All she asked for in return was a phone call and a visit. She made sure you left her home happy and fed. Christina’s presence and influence will be missed and never replaced. You always saw Christina smiling, laughing, and in a joyful mood. A true gem of a person who gave until her final days.
Her visitation will be held on Friday, December 29th from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street followed by her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. We love you mom!
