Edith Maria (Evi) Hairstone, 81 years young, of Ventura, California, passed away on December 3, 2023. Edith was born in Stuttgart, Germany to Fredericke Pekari and Walter Pfeffer. She loved to garden, she was an expert cook, and lifelong caretaker. Everyone who knew her loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Michaela D. Gerber, son-in-law, Mark E. Gerber, son, Lin Hairstone, daughter-in-law Christine Hairstone, grandchildren, Anthony Hairstone, Aaron Hairstone, Will Horstmeyer, and Julia Horstmeyer. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Awa-DuBose family who have been such a major part of her life, especially Liz Awa.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass to be celebrated at 8:00 am on Saturday, January 13, 2024 in Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 3175 Telegraph Road, Ventura. Arrangements are under the direction of the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, Ventura.
