John J. Rogers
Loving husband, father, brother and friend.
NASHUA, NH – John J. “Jack” Rogers, 81, a resident of Nashua, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth D “Betty” Rogers, with whom he shared 47 wonderful years.
Born in Lowell on December 30, 1941, he was the youngest son of the late Thomas F. and Mary Rose (Weber) Rogers. He grew up in a large, loving Irish Catholic family in the Highlands with eleven brothers and sisters.
Jack attended Lowell High School and had an amazing career as a stationary steam engineer spanning over 50 years. He was a proud friend of Bill W., through which he established a group, was a sponsor to many and a friend to all.
Jack enjoyed traveling, visiting friends and spending time with his family, all with his devoted wife Betty by his side. He was a communicant of St. Margaret of Scotland Parish.
In addition to his wife, Betty, he leaves a son, John P. Rogers and his wife, Amanda of Brookline, NH; two daughters, MaryAnn D Crawley and her husband, Matthew of Martinsburg, WV; and Elizabeth P. Courtemanche and her husband, Richard of Lowell, MA; his beloved grandsons, John P. Rogers Jr. of Brookline, NH, and Andrew J. Crawley of Boulder CO; two brothers, George Rogers and his wife, Kathleen of Hollis, NH, and Charles Rogers of Brookline, NH; his brothers-in-law, Joseph T. Bergeron of Lowell, MA, and Roland R. Crete of Dracut, MA; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and many wonderful friends.
He was predeceased by sisters, Helen, Anna, and Claire; and his brothers, Thomas, Paul, Francis, Edward, William, and Gerald; and many beloved sisters and brothers-in-law.

On Saturday, December 30, 2023 all are welcome to attend his visitation from 9 a.m.-12 noon at McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, 978-458-6816. His funeral service will take place in the funeral home at 12 noon, followed by procession to St. Patrick Cemetery.
