Angela (Serpa) Freitas, age 78, of Taunton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Wedgemere Healthcare in Taunton. She was the beloved wife of Celestino Freitas.
Born in Faial, Azores, Portugal on May 6, 1945. She grew up and was educated in Portugal and had made her home in Taunton for the past forty-five years.
A dedicated homemaker to her adoring family, Angela’s hobbies included cooking and knitting, and she received so-much pleasure when surrounded by her treasured family.
She was the dear mother of Elvis J. Freitas and his wife Michelle of Carver and the late Herberto S. Freitas, who is survived by his wife Maria Freitas of Somerset. She was the cherished grandmother of Brian Freitas and his wife Emily of Riverside, RI, Ashley Schofield and her husband Brandon of Dighton, Tiffany Auclair and her husband Matthew of Somerset, Maverick Freitas of Carver, London Freitas of Carver and the great grandmother of Selena Stroh, Nolet Auclair, Leon Auclair, Abigail Freitas and Wyatt-James Freitas.
Services and burial will be private and visiting hours are omitted.
A service in celebration of her life will be held at a later date and place to be announced.
