Joan Bradanick

Joan (Morris) Bradanick, age 93, a lifelong resident of Tewksbury, passed away at Andover Forest Post Acute Care Center in North Andover on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.
She was the beloved wife of former Tewksbury Police Officer, Phillip D. Bradanick, who passed away on September 22, 1991.
Joan was born in Tewksbury on May 27, 1930, the daughter of the late Leo Morris and Louise Helen (Duffy) Morris.
She attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Tewksbury High School in 1948. Following high school, she attended the Tewksbury Hospital School of Nursing, where she received nursing certification.
Prior to her retirement, she worked as a nurse for over 40 years at Tewksbury Hospital.
Joan was an avid fan and proud member of Red Sox nation. In addition, she enjoyed reading and knitting.
She is survived by her four daughters, Gail A. Devlin, of Lowell, Jean M. Bradanick and her wife, Rosemary Minnehan, of Cambridge, Jane L. Davis and her husband Ed, of Tewksbury, and Ellen J. Morin and her husband Norman, of Lowell: nine grandchildren, Jeff, Jennifer, Shaun, Edward, Kaitlyn, Phillip, Norman, Kerrilyn, and Christine: as well as 10 great grandchildren. Joan was the sister of former Tewksbury Fire Chief, James J. Morris, of Tewksbury and Louise Donovan, of Methuen. Joan leaves many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 27th, at 11:30 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main Street, Tewksbury, those attending are asked to meet at church, to be followed by interment of her ashes at St. Mary Cemetery, 90 River Road, Tewksbury. At Joan’s request, there are No Calling Hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Home for Little Wanderers at www.thehome.org
