Sandra Louise (Walenski) Hovey, 83, of Medway died Monday, December 18, 2023 at the Medway Country Manor. She was the beloved wife of Donald H. Hovey since 1959.
Born in Medway on November 10, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Louise (Szymanski) Walenski.
Sandra was a lifelong resident of Medway and graduated from Medway High School in 1958.
She worked at CIBA Corning in Medfield for many years until her retirement.
Sandra was an avid reader and enjoyed cake decorating.
She is survived by her daughter Dawn Louise Leighton and her husband Leonard of Medway, her son Jeffrey Hovey of Medway and two grandchildren, Christian Leighton and Nicole Hovey.
She is also survived by her brother Robert Walenski and his wife Stephanie of New Hampshire, her niece Jennifer Warner and her nephew Matthew Walenski.
Her funeral arrangements will be held privately at the request of her family and are under the care of the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
