Lorraine M. Lalli, age 88, of Brockton, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023, at AdviniaCare Baypointe in Brockton. She was the wife of Laura Bermingham.
Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Rumilda (Gennaco) Lalli.
She was a graduate of Brockton High School and the Chandler School for Women in Boston.
Lorraine was a secretary for several years before changing to a career selling residential real estate, during which time she managed several real estate offices and taught real estate courses.
She was involved in many volunteer works. She had been a volunteer for Girl Scouts, Big Sister Association, Charity Guild, and tutored English as a second language. Mrs. Lalli also served on several boards, including, Main Spring House, Charity Guild, Sons of Italy, Italian Women’s Club, Brockton Garden Club, Brockton Council on Aging, D.W. Field Park Association, and the Brockton Symphony Orchestra.
Her hobbies included travel, writing, and reading.
She loved spending time with her nieces, nephews, their families, and many friends.
Besides her wife Laura, she is survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Chester and Theodore Lalli; and sister, Gilda Lalli Casieri.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. Her funeral service will be on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 10:00 am, in the funeral home. Interment in Calvary Cemetery will be held at a later date.
