Marjorie Eve Ann Doherty, 63, of Laconia, NH passed away on Monday December 18, 2023 at her home. Marjorie was born in Everett, MA on August 4, 1960, a daughter of the late Gerald and Magda (Acevedo) McCormick. She had resided in Laconia for the past 5 years, formerly living in Londonderry, NH for 22 years.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Daniel Doherty of Laconia, one son, Colin Doherty of Londonderry, one daughter, Kelsey Doherty of Laconia, two brothers, Gerald McCormick and his wife Amy of Lynn, MA, and Michael McCormick and his wife Lisa of Londonderry, niece, Micaela McCormick, and nephew, Michael McCormick, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ron and Pam Doherty, their children, Stacey, Kim, and Kelly of McHenry, IL, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Donna and Dale Zamestill, their children Casey and Megan of McHenry, IL, Sister-in-law Melissa McDougall, her children, Sean, Heather, and Chelsea of McHenry, IL.
Marjorie graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Lynn, MA and then went on to receive a bachelor’s degree from Rosary College in Chicago, IL. Marjorie lived and worked in Wisconsin before returning home to Massachusetts in 1995 with her young family.
In her free time, Marjorie loved spending time on Lake Winnipesaukee where she camped in Paugus Bay for fifteen years before making Laconia her permanent home. Her favorite thing was spending quality time with those that mattered most to her.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Wednesday December 27, 2023 from 9:30 – 11:30am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, and will conclude at 11:30am with a Catholic prayer service.
