Nancy A. (Mathieu) Dufresne, age 83, of Raynham, formerly of Brockton and Jensen Beach, FL, died on December 17, 2023 at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater. Nancy was the loving wife of the late Gerald N. Dufresne, Jr. (Ret BFD) for 56 years. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late G. Francis and Dorothy (Miles) Mathieu. Nancy was a graduate of Manatee County High School in Bradenton, FL. Following graduation, she moved back to Brockton where she met her husband and resided for over 52 years.
Nancy was employed for many years as a Customer Service/Sales Representative at Johnson and Johnson, where her coworkers referred to her as “Nancy Nice.” She summered with her family in Dennisport and following her retirement, she enjoyed spending winters with her husband in Jensen Beach, FL for 25 wonderful years.
Nancy enjoyed everything life had to offer, but most of all time spent with her family. She was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. She was also a member of various bowling clubs in Brockton and Florida. She enjoyed horseshoes, Bingo, slot machines and playing cards and cribbage with her sister Mary and her late son Brian.
Nancy was the loving mother of Linda Frost and her husband Robert of Raynham, Mary Neal and her husband John Sr. of Brockton and the late Brian Dufresne; beloved Nana of Michael Frost and his fiancée Shannon, Kelly Frost, John Neal, Jr. and Adam Neal; sister of Mary Latulippe, John Mathieu, Carey Davis, Kathleen Costa and Janet Rebello. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Friar James Dufresne and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton on Thursday, December 21 from 4-7pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Friday at 9:30am for a Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church at 10:30am. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy’s name may be made to the American Heart Association or to a charity of your choice.
