BRISTOL – Sally R. (Paige) Pawelski, 87, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, at Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord, NH, following a stroke she suffered in November. She was the wife of the late David Pawelski.
Born in Hillsboro, she was the daughter of the late Campbell and Taina Paige. She resided in New Hampshire for most of her young life until she moved to Indiana. She later moved back east and resided in Massachusetts. It was there that she met her husband David and married in 1991 and together they traveled and wintered in Florida until David’s passing in 2004. Sally returned to Keene, where she worked at Walmart. She later moved to Bristol to be closer to her two sons and daughter-in-law.
She loved being out with people and started working at Ocean State Job Lot in Meredith when it first opened. After David’s passing, she was taken under the wing of David’s nephew Mike Pawelski and wife Janet of Wisconsin. Sally was tremendously grateful for their unwavering love and support.
Sally is survived by two sons, Brian Scott and his wife Eileen of Bristol, and Robert Scott of Warner; a daughter, Kelli Rand of Melbourne, Florida; three brothers, Campbell and wife Joanne of Rochester, Kenneth and wife Violet of Apopka, Florida, and Donald (late Edythe) of Antrim; and a sister, Priscilla (late Jim) Walton of Hillsborough; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Charles Scott of Straugh, Indiana.
Sally was a special lady. She always focused on the positive and she loved unconditionally. She would love to stroll the aisles while shopping and would strike up a conversation with anyone. She loved people and people loved her. She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of being in her company and knowing her.
A private burial will be held in the spring of 2024.
