Joyce (Wilson) Chastain, 89, of Anderson passed away on December 15, 2023 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus following an extended illness.
She was born on May 24, 1934 in Riverside, California to the late Frank and Marilla (Ryan) Wilson. She graduated in 1952 from San Bernardino High School and from San Bernardino Valley College in 1954 with an Associate of Arts degree. She was the bookkeeper for the family business.
She attended both Mounds Baptist Church and Madison Park Church of God. She and her husband spent their winters in Ft. Myers Beach, FL where she enjoyed playing shuffleboard. She was a member of the Grandview ladies golf league and also was an avid bowler.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Chastain of Anderson; two sons, John (Sue) Chastain of Anderson and Roger (Jennifer) Chastain of West Virginia; a granddaughter, Stephanie (Mark) McRory of Tampa, FL; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Wilson.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30pm on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Kristine Marshall officiating.
