Manchester– Janet E. Turcotte, 87 died December 15, 2023 at Maple Leaf Healthcare Center following a period of declining health.
She was born on August 24, 1936 in Grasmere, NH to Robert and Rachel (Normand) Turcotte.
She graduated from Ste. Marie High School in 1954 as Valedictorian, then worked for Prudential Insurance as an entry level clerk. She retired from Prudential in 1996 as Assistant to the Manager.
She was a devout Catholic and you could find her at early morning Mass on Sunday in her favorite spot. She will be missed.
She was an animal lover, especially cats, until her health no longer allowed her to give them the care they deserved. She was an avid reader and accumulated a huge number of books that she loaned to co-workers and friends. She also enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Donald Turcotte.
She is survived by her cousins, Mrs. Patricia D’Allesandro, John Morganstern, Mrs. Carol Labbe and several friends.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 9:30 to 10:30 am followed by a prayer service at 10:30 at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
Committal prayers will follow in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd.
