Robert A. Peterson, 81, of Londonderry, NH died Thursday, December 14, 2023 in his home. He was born on July 21, 1942 in Weymouth, MA, a son of Donald and Florence (Miller) Peterson. Robert was a graduate of N. Quincy High School in the class of 1960. He was a member of the Hampstead Congregational Church where he had been a deacon, and a past master of the Theodore Roosevelt Lodge. He retired in 1997 from Cambridge Electric Light Co. after 25 years of dedicated service. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching all of the New England team’s games. He loved to oil paint. Most family members have a picture painted by him in their homes.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Peterson of Londonderry; 2 sons, Robert A. Peterson, Jr. of Florida and Roy E. Peterson of Quincy, MA; 5 grandchildren, Abigail, Emma, Andrew, Hayley and Mackenzie as well as a great granddaughter Penelope; brother, Donald E. Peterson of Weymouth, MA; and sister Nancy Reichert of Florida. He is predeceased by his first wife, Rachelle who passed away in 1999 and 2 sisters, Janet Towne and Beverly Crozier.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 1:00pm – 2:00pm immediately followed by a funeral service at 2:00pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry.
