Gail L. Giliard, 63

Dateline: Norton, MA

Gail L. (Jacobs) Giliard, age 63, of Norton, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.

Born in Attleboro, MA on January 10, 1960, she was a loving daughter of Ralph S. Jacobs of Norton and the late Cynthia J. (Mullaney) Jacobs.

Gail spent her younger childhood living in Attleboro. Her family later moved to Norton, where she attended Norton High School and resided for many years. Along with her family, she was a dedicated and hardworking president, co-owner and operator of R.S. Silk Screening in Norton, a company established by her parents on South Worcester Street.

Gail treasured the times spent with her adoring family, who were truly the essence of her life. Throughout her life, she held a place sacred in her heart for animals and enjoyed scuba diving and traveling. Gai had a natural compassionate way towards others and will be fondly remembered for her remarkable sense of humor. She will be sadly missed by her family and many close friends that she treasured dearly, but the memories she created in life, will remain in their hearts forever.

In addition to her father, she was the dear sister of Debora A. Knight and her husband Keith of Tennessee, Lisa M. Jacobs and her husband James Rogan of Norton, Karen T. Jacobs of Norton and Michael P. Jacobs of Norton. She was the cherished aunt of Edward, Jennifer, Tiffany, Amanda, Joshua and Gillian. She was the loving stepmother of Greg Giliard. She was the loving partner of Rick Boss, with whom she made her home and is also survived by her many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a celebration of her life on Saturday, January 27th from 12:00-4:00 P.M. at the Mansfield Lodge of Elks, 140 North Main Street in Mansfield.

Funeral home visiting hours are omitted, and burial will be private.

Those wishing may remember Gail with a donation in her memory made to the Winslow Farm Animal Sanctuary, 37 Eddy Street, Norton, MA 02766.
