Obituary

For all of those that knew and loved Jennifer it is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that the family announce the sudden passing after a long struggle with Breast Cancer of their sweet Jenny on December 10, 2023.
Jennifer was born on May 9, 1963 in Batavia, New York to Joseph and Kathleen DeMarinis. She attended local schools in Batavia before moving to Winchester, Massachusetts at age 16, where she attended Winchester High School and then Nursing School obtaining her Registered Nursing License.
In Jennifer’s early twenties she lived in Boston and began her passion in world travel. Through her travels she was introduced by a dear friend to the love of her life Mark Wadnizak. Mark & Jennifer were married in 1993 in Winchester, Massachusetts. They spent much of their time together in England and France enjoying the company of Mark’s family and friends as well as many happy memories at their cottage in Pershore, England.
Jennifer and Mark built a life together in Ventura, California. Jennifer had a love for antiques and beauty flourished around her. She was very artistic, from her love of jewelry she created beautiful pieces under her company Lula Love. She was adored by the lives she touched and had the kindest heart.
In 2011 Jennifer was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, initialing overcoming this diagnosis. The Cancer reoccurred in 2016 with a poor diagnosis, but with her strength and determination she beat all the odds.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Kathleen, her great cousin Dorthea, her aunt Pat, and many beloved pets.
Jennifer leaves behind the love of her life, her husband Mark of over 30 years. Her sister Mary Rose Schwartz (Ben); her mother-in-law Ann Marie Wadnizak; her sister-in-law Carol Hawkins (David); her nieces Lindsey Schwartz; Rhyan Burrows (Tim); Madalyn Burrows; and her nephew David Schwartz.
Jennifer would want no sadness in the lives of her family and friends. She would want you to remember the memories and her infectious laugh.
Memorial services will be held at the San Buenaventura Mission on January 15th, 2024 at 10:30am.
