Joseph A. DiRienzo, Jr., age 92, of Norton, formerly of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 11, 2023 at the Accent Care Inpatient Hospice Center in Milton.
Born in Revere, MA on February 19, 1931, he was a loving son of the late Joseph A., Sr. and Celia (Bagnulo) DiRienzo.
Joe grew up and was educated in Revere. He was a graduate of Revere High School and for nearly three years, proudly served his country during the time of the Korean War, as a member of the United States Army National Guard.
A draftsman by trade, Mr. DiRienzo was the owner of the former DiRienzo Antique Company, a business he successfully operated for many years on School Street in Mansfield. He had made his home in Norton for the past thirteen years and was a former longtime resident of Mansfield for over fifty years.
A man of deep Christian Faith, he enjoyed attending church weekly. He was passionate about antique cars and was a familiar face in many-many- parades and at area car meets.
He was the dear brother of the late Louise DeFlumere, Frances Goguen, John DiRienzo and Arthur DiRienzo. He was the longtime companion of the late MaryJane Herd, who recently passed away on February 27, 2023. He is survived by his loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a graveside funeral service, accompanied by military honors rendered by the United States Army, on Monday, December 18th at 1:00 P.M. at the Spring Brook Cemetery in Mansfield.
