Joao “Muxim” Rocha (86) of Brockton died December 11th at home under hospice care surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Eunice Rocha of Brockton.
He was born in Sao Antao, Cabo Verde. Joao was a communicant of St. Edith Stein Church and enjoyed reading, walking, traveling and was known for his reserved manner. He especially loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his loving wife he is survived by 3 sons, Joao Andrade of Stoughton, Jose Pires of Fall River and Manuel Rocha of Brockton, Iva Alves of Brockton and Rita Fontes of Brockton, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, 20 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Wednesday December 13th from 5-9 pm.
Services in the Funeral Home Thursday December 14th at 9 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church, 71 E Main Street Brockton at 10 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton.
