Dianne Hill Conger, 65, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with Brother Rick Ellis officiating. Interment will follow at 3 PM on Wednesday in Hillcrest Cemetery, in Sylvester, Georgia. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald and also one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
Mrs. Conger was born October 19, 1958, in Worth County, Georgia, to Ruth Young Hill and the late Frank Hill. She was a ward clerk for Dorminy Medical Center in the emergency room, 2nd floor and ICU. Mrs. Conger worked with Ben Hill Volunteer Fire Department auxiliary. She enjoyed the mountains, Jekyll Island, spending time in the woods and fishing with her husband. She had a heart of gold and loved everybody. Mrs. Conger was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church where she served as clerk, treasurer and taught Sunday school. She greatly enjoyed working with the church kids and will be remembered for always having a smile.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Sheldon Conger of Fitzgerald; her mother, Ruth Young Hill of Sylvester; three brothers: David Hill & Trish of Hinesville, Ernest Hill & Pam of Sylvester and Edgar Hill & Kirsten of Sylvester; and two brothers-in-law, Allen Conger & Carolyn of Fitzgerald and Harold Conger & Lynn of St. Augustine, Florida. A host of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews also survive.
