Talia Q. Bynum, 35, of Springfield, formerly of Worcester died Monday, December 4th at Baystate Hospital. She leaves her mother, Ivy Bynum of Springfield; maternal grandmother, Jannie Bynum of Springfield; Step-Grandfather, Troy Hughey of Springfield; maternal grandfather, Ronald Bynum-Valentine of Worcester; Step-Grandmother, Rosemary Kempton of Worcester; a brother, Gianni Bynum of Worcester; a sister, Tiashia Bynum of Springfield; uncle, Ronald Bynum, Jr. of Springfield; and aunt, A'tala Bynum of Springfield. She also leaves extended family and friends, including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her maternal great grandmothers, Bessie Maddison and Annae Mae; maternal great grandfathers, Lawrence Harris, Sr., Alfred Valentine, and Matthew Bynum; great aunt, Shirley Lewis.
She was born in Worcester and attended Worcester Schools and graduated from Springfield High School of Science and Technology and later attended the Salter School where she earned a certificate in Medical Assisting. Talia worked for Behavioral Health Network for the past five years as a medical technician and previously worked as a Front Desk Supervisor for LaQuinta Hotel. She had a passion for music.
Her funeral is Friday, December 15th with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart – St. Catherine of Sweden Parish, 596 Cambridge Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street, Worcester. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service.
