Scott D. Jones, 73, was born November 9, 1950. He passed away peacefully at home December 4, 2023.
Scott graduated from University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a B.A. in Sociology. He attended Berklee College of Music on a woodwind scholarship. An ardent jazz fan, he had a lifelong love of music. He played sax in a number of groups. Scott was in the Army Security Agency for three years during Viet Nam and served in Africa.
After retiring from a computer career, he moved to Cotuit where he enjoyed bicycling, sailing and kayaking. He was an amateur motorcycle racer. He also liked to ski and snowshoe. As well, he sketched and painted.
Scott is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-one years Ellen Nyce Jones.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. Funeral services will be private.
