Obituary

Anthony J. Bujnowski, 70, passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 2, 2023. He was born February 10, 1953 in Worcester, son of Joseph and Nancy (Covello) Bujnowski. He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, MaryAnn (Potenti) Bujnowski, of Worcester, his son, Jeremy Bujnowski and his wife, Laura (Power) of Rutland, his daughter, Julie Bouchriha of Worcester, grandchildren, Giancarlo Bujnowski & his girlfriend Qariah McCoy, Muhammad & Laila Bouchriha of Worcester and Benjamin & Brenna Bujnowski of Rutland, great-granddaughters, Freyja & Anastasia Bujnowski of Worcester, sisters, Carol Baker and her husband Mike, of Oxford, and Donna Gervais of Sturbridge, sister in law Janice (Potenti) Mahoney and her husband Joe of Florida, brother in law Richard Potenti and his wife Donna (Marment) of Worcester, Donna (Lapriore) Potenti of Worcester, an aunt, Adeline Bujnowski, an uncle, George Perri, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including a dear friend Ron Haddad and longtime family friend Anne Clotar-Pinto.

He is predeceased by his father and mother, Joseph and Nancy Bujnowski and his father and mother in law, John Potenti, Sr. and Marion (Saunders) Potenti, his brothers in law, Johnny Potenti, Bobby Potenti, Jimmy Potenti, Ed Gervais, his son in law Mahrez Bouchriha, and dear friends John Pinto and Walter Bradley.

Mr. Bujnowski was educated in Worcester Schools. He worked as a salesman for Washburn Garfield Company for many years prior to retiring. He cherished and loved his family fiercely. He was devoted to his family and treasured times spent with all of them. Anthony took great pride in his children and grandchildren and enjoyed coaching them in sports and being an active participant in their lives. He was a passionate sports fan and wholehearted New England fan. Anthony loved the beach and sitting by the ocean. He enjoyed his music and singing along wherever he was. Lovingly referred to as “Ant” and “Tone” he loved all and was the warmest kindest soul to all he met. He had a way of making everyone feel loved and welcomed wherever he went. He was always willing to help out anyone in any way he could. Bringing others joy made him happy.

Calling hours are from 9:30 am - 11:30 am on Friday, December 15, 2023, with a celebration of life and prayer service immediately following at Dirsa-Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton Street in Worcester.
