Devoted father of Ann, Richard (Stefania) and Kara Maloney. Loving Papa of John Franco, Marco, Natalie, Brenna, Mary & Sabrina Maloney and Courtney McLaughlin. He leaves behind a loving extended family of “nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and a great-grandnephew” along with his adoring cousins Maizie Donnelly and her husband Jim and John Coyle. He was a graduate of St. Sebastian’s School class of 1956 and Boston College class of 1960. Moe was a teacher at The Morse School in Cambridge for over 30 years. His former colleagues and students always held a special place in his heart. He dedicated over 30 years of his life serving the Boston College community as the Head Baseball Coach and then as the Assistant Director of the Boston College Neighborhood Center where he was instrumental in creating opportunities for student athletes to volunteer, to work with and teach local elementary school students and to give back to their communities. He was inducted into the Boston College Hall of Fame in 2018 with this inscription: “Coach Moe’s commitment to service and pushing BC student athletes to grow as men and women for others has helped ignite the dreams of many children and young adults throughout the Boston area”. What a wonderful legacy of love for his family, friends, students and athletes that he leaves behind.
