MYSTIC: Elaine Rosalie Battista passed away peacefully on December 5, 2023.
Elaine was born in Mystic on January 12, 1931. She was a graduate of Stonington High School. Following high school graduation, she met and married Richard Battista.
Elaine was a warm-hearted woman, patient and unselfish in her love and devotion to her family. Her greatest pleasure was her love and care for her family.
Summertime was her favorite season with backyard picnics, crabbing off the dock or out on the cove meandering leisurely in the boat.
Elaine was predeceased by her husband Richard Battista and her two sisters, Irene Corn and Joyce Marshall. She is survived by her children, Nancy Adams (Skip Adams), Ronald Battista (Cindy Battista), Kathy Izbicki (Tom Izbicki), numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 15, at 11:00am at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery.
