Dale Shepard, 69 passed away on December 6th, 2023 at the Jack Byrne Hospice Facility in Lebanon, NH after a long battle with illness.
Dale was born October 4, 1954 in St Albans, VT. He was one of 13 children born to Clarence and Jessie (Raymond) Shepard . He grew up in Goffstown, NH where he attended both elementary and high school. He then joined the Army where he served for 4 years. From there Dale traveled the country with short stints in Florida, North Carolina and New York. New Hampshire is where he eventually called home and would spend the rest of his life as a jack of all trades handyman.
He worked for J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home for over 20 years, where his loyalty, dedication and laughter will be greatly missed.
Dale is survived by his Son Joshua Shepard, his Daughter Brooke Shepard-Bourque and 2 grandchildren; MacKenzie and Alexander Shepard, as well as 9 siblings. Dale was a family man and raised both his kids as a single dad since they were toddlers. His grandkids call him “PAPA” and were the light of his life.
No matter where Dale went he made friends. His exuberance was felt by everyone who came near him, and his smile could lure anyone into a conversation. His jokes would have you laughing for hours. What we will miss most are his “ daily check-in” phone calls his “Daleisms” and the love he gave to everyone he met.
Dale loved his motorcycles whether it was fixing, modifying or riding them, he also loved fishing, old cars and just tinkering with anything that was broken so he could fix it. He will be very well missed by his many friends and relatives.
Services are being held at J.N Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge Street, Manchester, NH. Calling hours will be Friday December 15th from 5-7pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home in order to defray funeral expenses.
