Ernest H. Heyes, 83, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Ernest L. and Priscilla R. (Haskell) Heyes, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Ernest enjoyed going on walks, reading, and had many fond memories of Lincoln Park. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in New Bedford.
Ernest worked as a Foreman for the New Bedford Water Department for over 20 years.
Survivors include his son, David Heyes and his partner Christine Whiting; his daughter Alison Morris and Brett Morris; his siblings, Margaret, Gladys, Jonathan, Rebecca, Deborah, Larry, Jimmy, Eleanor, and Brian; his grandchildren, Justin, Aneshia, Anthony, and Abishai; and many nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service was held in Rural Cemetery.
