Luis A. Hernandez, (known as Yoyo), 69 yrs. old. Luis passed away on December 5th, 2023, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. He was born on June 10th, 1954, in La Valentina de Arroyo, PR. He was a boxer, baseball player, and a seasoned fisherman. He loved to be near the water and found peace fishing until his final day. Often seen surrounded by his friends and family enjoying a cold one and always making people laugh with his joke and stories. He always lend a helping hand to whoever asked never saying no. Luis would always prepare a meal for his son to make sure he would never be hungry while he worked long hours. He was also known for his succulent perniles and adored his granddaughters. During his final moment he managed to lift their spirits and give them one more laugh so he could forever be remembered for the bright, cheerful man we all know him to be. Luis is survived by his wife Pascuala Santiago, children Luis N. and Cynthia D. Hernandez, granddaughters Zulmarie and Alexandria Hernandez, siblings Carlos, Ramon, Miguel, Cheverico, Guillermo, Aníbal, Salvador, Jorge, Vangelina, Carmen Maria, Susana, Aida Rachel, Iriluisa, Awilda. He had a deceased brother William Rivera. Visiting hours at the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home 10 Tower St. (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) Jamaica Plain on Monday December 11 from 5-8 PM.
