Leona Rose (Duchesneau) Blouin, 91, of Fairhaven, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 3, 2023. She was the loving wife of Roland E. Blouin.
Born in Fairhaven, daughter of the late Alban and Leona (Fleurent) Duchesneau, she lived in Fairhaven all of her life.
Leona was an avid artist, gardener, reader, and collector of novels and antiques. She went to Sacred Hearts Academy and attended Tufts Dental School. Leona enjoyed traveling to Maine and Miami and taking her grandchildren on adventures in the summer.
Survivors include her husband; her children, Marc Blouin of Fairhaven, Joe (Roland) Blouin of Miami, and Paul Blouin of New Bedford; her sister Florence Claire Gamache; her grandchildren, Lizabeth Blouin, Douglas Blouin, Abby Blouin, and Robert (Roland) Blouin; and her great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Ayla, Isabelle and Eleanor.
A private Funeral Mass and burial were held. A celebration of life will be held in Leona's Gardens in the spring.
